Wow. You have a hard thing to deal w/. You are obviously in it for the long haul though, bc u got custody while with your husband. I wouldn't consider yourself a step parent although yes u are. You are that girls place of a mom, since she is not in the picture, as her grandparents were raising her. It is a very difficult thing to do to fix peoples bad parenting techniques as u described. You sound like you are doing a great job with her, and in the best and loving way you know how. as far as it not taking a toll on you and your husband, that will be tough. Just make sure to always re assure to each other the love and care u have for each other. What is goin on with me?

Ok so this might be a little weird...but I have started to notice (and have for awhile just didn't really think anything of it) that my stomach is getting hard. But it's not hard all the time but it's starting to stay hard? (to me it's confusing) Like you can push (not hard) on it and feel something in there...but at other times you can't feel anything. You can really feel something when you push closer to the top of my stomach, like something round..and it hurts when you lightly push on it. I can't lay on my stomach without getting an aching pain. My back is really starting to hurt and I've been having problems with my ribs (it's only a couple in particular that feel like they keep trying to break or spasm or something). I've taken two pregnancy tests ( June 27) but the first one didn't work so I took another one later on, the second one said that I wasn't pregnant. I had my period June 16th, didn't last that long. I had swimmer's ear in my left ear with my eardrum still intact, which I found out when I went to the doctor. She prescribed me ear drops, which I was supposed to use for 7 days. 2 days later, it completely went from my left ear and started in my right ear. Now it is on the EXACT same track -- day 1: feels like I "pulled" my ear. day 2: hurts, ear itches. day 3: worst pain of all of the days (the day I'm on right now) day 4: the top of my ear stops hurting, but the inside is still moderately painful. day 5: same as day 4. day 6: pretty much completely gone. I started taking ear drops for my left ear (1st ear) on day 5. When I got the ear ache in my right ear, I started taking them on day 2. But nothing has changed. Day 3 is still the worst pain yet. The only difference I can tell is that when I put the drops in my left ear I didn't really notice they were there after a minute or so after I got up, but in my right ear it feels like there were too many drops put in and it's clogging my ear, even though I'm putting in 4 like I always have. Do I need to go to the doctor for this, or can I just keep putting drops in my ear and it will go away.

Question about birth control?

Hi, i am 15 and my mom just told me she thinks i should get on birth control. im not sexually active, and i never have been. im still a virgin and i plan on staying that way untill i get a boyfriend that im searious about. she said that she just wants to get it out of the way so she doesnt have to worry about me having unprotected sex and to help with my periods. but, i dont think my pierods are that bad. i got my frist period when i was almost 12. my periods come almost exactly every 25 days(give or take a day) and usually last about 4 or 5 days. i dont get cramps. well... sometimes i do. like every 3rd period i have cramps just on the frist day but i basically dont get cramps. i dont feel anything actually. my back just aches and my body gets kinda sore but im good with pain so it doesnt really bother me. so its kind of like my period isnt even there. but she said she just wants to make sure im protected just in case and to help my periods. she said that they will come less, and stay for a shorter amount of time? is that true? ive been looking up things on the internet on if it effects girls moods and i really cant find a whole lot. im not a moody person, im pretty mellow. i dont get emotional all of a sudden or anything....all my friends say their jealous, but like i said....my periods dont really effect me. my question is, if i start taking them will they lessen my periods like my mom said. and will it make me all moody and crap. because im not like that now and i really dont want to be. i have friends who will just start crying for no reason...and its wierd. i like how i am now. but i do want to be protected and have less periods, i just dont want to be moody and emotional. sorry this is really long.....i know theres different kinds of birth control and i just want to know if you were me, would you get on it? and if its a good idea or not?

What is causing my wrist pain?

About a week ago, I was doing push ups to prepare for basic training in January when i noticed there was a pain in my right wrist every time I put weight on it. I let off for a few days, and it seems to have gotten about 50% better... but now my left wrist is hurting too. They both have a slight burn on the outside of my hand. My left hand doesn't hurt from weight, it just slightly aches and slightly burns. My right hand still hurts a little when I put my weight on it, and has the same weird burn or tingle on the top of my hand and wrist. I have full range of motion otherwise, and there are absolutely no tinder spots anywhere. I know self diagnosis is bad, but I want to know what I'm up against before I save up the money for a doctor visit. I'm seriously considering doing the SEAL program, so I need this to get better if at all possible. I'm 18, if age is a factor.

Why does this happen when I don't get enough sleep?

I'm healthy little 14 year-old. I eat [fairly] decent food and in general, I take good care of myself. I've noticed that when I don't get a lot of sleep, I get a stomach ache the entire next day. Sometimes cramps and chest pain, too. It's usually pretty distracting. I come home from school if it's really bad. But I typically get enough sleep so I haven't really addressed this problem. Anyway. I stayed up til about 1 last night, then remembered I had to get up at 7. So I got a good 5 and a half to 6 hours of sleep. I was also very stressed (it was a driving test) so it wasn't even decent sleep. So I've had this killer stomach ache and diharrea today (embarrassing...). So I guess I'm wondering why this happens and if I should worry about it. Any ideas?

I need some insight on my symptoms?

I will start off by saying I have a doctor appointment booked, it's just not for a few weeks so I thought I would come on here to get any info I could while I wait to see the doctor. First thing I am concerned about is every so often, maybe 1-2 times a month my left arm will randomly feel immense pressure inside as if someone were taking my blood pressure, the veins pop out and it goes a little red. This usually only lasts around 30 seconds and then goes away, it is completely random, sometimes it happens when I am fully exerting myself, other times I am completely relaxed. I have also been experiencing frequent fevers lately, no other symptoms other than a fever, usually around 101-102 F, accompanied by body aches the entire duration of the fever. I have had 3 in the lAst month and a half, usually last anywhere from 1-3 days. This has me concerned that there may be something wrong. I am 21 in good general condition, mother of a 3 year old, and unfortunately I do smoke (trying my hardest to quit that nasty habit) if that will help. Again I am just looking for some insight while I wait to see my doctor, anything is helpful! Thanks!

The way leveling works in Oblivion is that only your major skills affect leveling up, so with what you described, I'd pick Marksman, Blunt, Illusion, Sneak, Security, Conjuration as major skills, though you need 7 majors so pick something else that will fit what you're trying to do. You can still level the minor (leftover) skills and get the "perks" that come at 25, 50, 75 and 100, but as far as your character level increasing, you need to level up major skills 10 times to level up. I suggested the major skills I did because it sounds like you will be using those the most, and with Oblivion's leveled-loot system, you'll want to level up rather quickly to avoid getting the cheapo versions of quest rewards.

Why cant doctors figure out whats wrong?

I am 19 years old and have had gastro issues since 5. It started out as just stomach aches and grew to diarreah and nausea. Since january its vomiting now, too. Ive had gastric emptying study, ct scans, barium swalllows, multiple upper and lower endoscopies... the works. I was falsly diagnosed with celiac. I had an ibs diagnosis for years but medicAtions didnt help but rather made it worse. I was on reglan through iv at one point and it was terrible because i dont need to be sped up. Pretty much at this point i just had a ct scan with fold prominence and wall thickening but my new gastro dr doesnt think its crohns ( my dr in the stAte i just moved from thinks it is). shes stRting all the damn tests over again im really upset about it. My symptoms are diarreah ( mostly after eating) pain above the belly button, nausea, vomiting, & weight loss. its Dehydrating me to where im constantly getting ivs and kidney stones. does anyone have similar problems? I really cant live like this anymore

Hospital staff and doctors treated me inhumanely, feel like my lifes been sucked out?

happened over two years ago, i was awoken by a twiching feling in my head, called the nhs direct line and was told im dehydrated, i started gulping water down, thinking im dehydrated, relating the twiching feeling to the increasing head pains that occured as a result of excessive water consumption which lasted for weeks, i had all the symptoms of hyponatremia. returning to the hospital several times a day only to be told i wasnt suffering with anyone, had tests done, but i strongly disagree. the hospital staff just dont care at all, they were unprofessional and very cruel. after weeks of drinking excessive water, i believe i suffered a heart ache, again i believe i had all the symptoms of a it. again, only to be told theres nothing wrong. ever since then my life has very hard to live, my gp doesnt care about my concerns, feels like theyre all over protective of each other. A little over a month ago I adopted a Shiba inu mix from a family who didnt have enough time. He is 7 months old and was potty trained when I got him. I knew there would be a period of adjustment but it's been almost a month and today he has peed 4 times. He has is good days and his bad. He goes outside and sometimes within a half hour he pees. It's almost like he doesn't really care that he's doing something wrong. He's not sneaky about it at all. He'll pee right infront of me. I take him out every few hours and take him for walks but he still pees inside as well. Ive tried telling him bad dog and taking him outside to pee. I've rubbed his nose in it and swatted him. Hes crate trained but I refuse to keep him locked up all the time. I don't know what else to do, I will have to return him to the family if I can't get the peeing under control. I don't want that but can't have his peeing everywhere. Btw he's not marking either. Please help!!!

You may need to just take a day to lay in the bath, cool down, relax, just lay in the bed, no bright lights or anything. It could be something like vertigo. So the longer you wait or put it off, its going to become more difficult to fix. But, I do really suggest that you see a doctor.

I'm 14, could this be diabetes or hormones?

For as long as I can remember I've always had bad stomach aches and nausea. I'm 14 now, and they have defiantly gotten worse. I get really sore and my arms and legs feel tingly at times, I get so dizzy and I feel off balance like I could fall over, and I feel weak a lot. I also have a really irregular period and down there I have this white stuff that itches once in awile but even when I take pill to get rid of a yeast infection it doesn't go away. Sometimes I do have some heartburn and my doctor has me on acid reflux meds but I had an upper endoscopy done and they said everything looked fine so I should get off that medicine. My period is usually every 48 days and I always feel horrible around then. I've also had some trouble sleeping as I wake up a few times. What could this be?

ok so about a month ago i got sick with a cold and had all the cold symtoms like fever, tiredness, plugged nose or sneezing. then after the fever passed i felt like i had gotten alergies because my throat would itch and my eyes would itch and my nose would always plug up. then i get a really bad tooth ache and go to the dentist and find out i have to get my very back right bottom tooth pulled because i have a cavity down to the nerve. so there is a period were i am taking cold pills and ibiphrofen and benadrill and sometimes tylanol. then i find white little dots on my tonsils and i think i had or still have strep throat. anyway like a couple weeks ago i got my tooth pulled but really i am wondering if i have strep or alergies. right now i have an itchy throat, itchy eyes, sneezing, and plugged up nose. also if it means anything in the past week i have been getting a sharp headache feeling like when i get up after sitting for a while and it throbs and i feel dizzy but then it goes away. i also feel tired alot. so yeah tell me what you think. should i go to the doctor? also do you think if i had strep or still have it if it could have infected my tooth hole since i got it pulled. and also if it helps i am a girl and 16 years old.

I have caught my daughter in little white lies and now I question EVERYTHING she does. This is leading to us not getting along and many arguments. Most of the lies are told when a particular boy is involved. She knows I do not like this boy and would probably not let her hang out with him if she asked me. The lies that I am aware of are when she said she would be walking to the park with a neighborhood friend, but meets this boy at the park instead. So, today is the last day of middle school. She says that after school her bff and some other friends are going to hang out at a Burger joint a couple of blocks from the school. When I asked her to be honest with me she gets upset and frustrated with me. So how do I let her have fun on her last day and not worry about where she is. It was something like, "Like my status and I'll tell you if I would smash, pass, or cuff and a rate" and he wrote smash, cuff and gave a rate and my aunt (she's the nosy one in the family) must have been looking at my wall and told my parents that I was doing stuff with a guy. So they talked to me and I explained and they said don't let it happen again. So I'm like okay it won't. So I blocked her and a couple other family members from looking at my wall. Again, my aunt told my parents that I was hiding stuff cause they told me to unblock my wall or I would have to deactivate my facebook. I told them that I wouldn't unblock her, cause of what happened last time but I would unblock everyone else. So I told them that if they really wanted to see what I was doing, to make a facebook and add me theirselves instead of getting people to spy on me. They started getting angry and yelling at me and saying I was sneaky and all that. But I wasn't even being sneaky, I only blocked her to make sure no one would be getting confused. So in the end, I ended up unblocking her, and I made a status that said something like "I hate it when people are being nosy" And of course, my aunt seen it and told my parents. They made me deactivate my facebook and took away my desktop in my room and moved it to the family room. So my question is, do you think it was fair for them to do this or are they overreacting? Around 4:30 today i started getting a stomach ache like i was hungry, and i went in the bathroom with my girlfriend when she was taking a bath and all of a sudden i tasted blood in my month so i got up and spit into the sink and there was bright red blood the first thing my girlfriend did was check and see if it was my teeth and it wasnt so we went to the ER, there the doctor said the only places it could be from is stomach nose or throat and he did nothing and said i was fine but i still feel like crap no more spitting blood but stomach still hurts and i ate idk what to do im freaking out help

Ankle and foot painful after running?

For a bout a year now I get this mild sprained ankle pain on my ankle and top side of my foot after I go running. Some times I get mild bruises at the top of my foot. I have rested it twice for 6 weeks at a time but it still occurs. I use an ankle sports support sock- it still aches after even a small run. I just turned 30 and I am 5ft tall petite. I have a 13 year old daughter who is taller than me. People think we are sisters. When I am around teens they assume I am a teen and treat me as one and it is annoying. I like looking young, but not this young. I dont get respect from people my age. I have to dress up more when I do go out, with tall heals in tight clothes so I may appear older, which is not the kind of attention I want to get. Did i have food poisoning or heat stroke?

saturday night i went out, had about 10 drinks the last drink i had was at about 1:30am, then i had a donner kebab that didnt taste very nice so gave half to my friend, the next morning i felt ok, it was 31 degrees outside and went to the gym with no air conditioning and was really hot, went home and sat in the garder for no more than about 2 hours mostly in the shade. i was really tired and didnt feel to good so went to sleep then woke up at 10:30 and threw up everywhere, all the food from the day came out, then i got really hot and sweaty but felt freezing and full body aches and was really bad all night waking up to be sick. then when i woke up at 3pm the next day and felt alot better and got better as the day went on and now i feel fine, 2 of my friends who ate a kebab from the same place were ill as well. i dont think it woiuld be the alcohol because i was ill at least 21 hours after my last drink. and was ill 20 hours after i ate the kebab. i didn't have a hangover i felt fine in the morning and also my heart rate was 110 bpm when it is normally about 72

I have been actively ttc for 6months. My period came early this month. Usually comes on the 18th(ish), it came on the 10th, finished on the 12th. Last week on the 21st, i noticed spotting. Started out very light pink, and was only a little bit whenever i peed. It ended on the 23rd and by that time was sort of brownish, but still not alot. Not even enough to need a panty liner. I had slight cramps during those days..nothing like "period cramps". More like a dull ache around my lower abdomen. A few days after that, i noticed CM with streaks of blood. Only a few times and it went away. And now im having white discharge whenever i pee..sometimes i feel wet, or think i am, but its really just the discharge.. I get nauseous during the day, but nothing comes up.. and my nails have been growing really fast which is odd because i usually bite them.. Anyways, that stuff is irrelevant i guess. I just feel so confused because ive never bled twice in one month or had CM tinged with blood.. Thanks for your input :)

High white blood cells in eyes, blood and urine?

Ive had an optometrist comment on high WBC (white blood cell) in my eyes when getting contacts, I was screened for (blood test) low thyroid and Doc told me that I have high WBC and to watch that then I had a pee test (routine) from my PCP and she also told me about the high WBC count. I do have pain in my lower back but I also have scoliosis so I don't know now if the scoliosis (its 15% the lower end for scoliosis) but maybe a kidney/ovary problem or what? I don't know what ?'s to ask my Doctor ( Oh three separate doctors told me this and I am a 28 year old female with no kids...good diet and take walks daily) I do have aches and pains but I was a tremendous athlete in my high school and college years so I just attribute my aches and pains to my athletic youth and scoliosis or could more be going on here? Right side chest pain?

I'm on vacation, and I've been doing a lot of walking and wearing a backpack daily and whatnot, but I just noticed some bad chest pain on the right side of my chest, it hurts to press and when im not touching it, it just aches. I would like to think it'd just from wearing a heavy backpack because i've been wearing it for 3 days straight, but i'm on Vacation so I don't have a doctor or know where a clinic is or anything around here, I do have a history of bronchitis lately, and I did have quite a sore throat the other day with a bit of a cough. any information would be great, thanks.

Let this video load up/play , then hover your mouse over 10 seconds exactly, once it plays from 10 seconds wait 1 or 2 seconds and click it again , keep repeating, you will notice the shockwave moving up over as usual yes, but you will also notice the little almost missable, ball of fire/explosion which occurs ON TOP of the structure, you will also notice the smoking gun proof ---> the shockwave spreading horizontally , this is not inside of the structure as you can clearly see, it is ON TOP of that structure ! last night night i had a really weird dream.... if u have seen those ramby movies and he goes out to vietnam and does gorilla warfare (or whatever it is) it was sorta like that except, kinda way different. a guy named zumba was like ramby (i was reading about zumba dancing in SELF magazine lolz ;) so during the dream i had cramps, and that made it so in the actual dream i had cramps. when i woke i had some cramping, and then5 minutes later there was a lower back ache. is this normal?

After my vomiting on the 5 June, I feel very weird until now; my stomach churns a lot, and at times I felt nausea, but don't feel like puking, but I don't have diarrhea or stomach aches. I have been to the doctor who says that it was due to me eating unhealthy food, and I am under some medication which aids in digestion that had made me feel better. But being a student now, I do not feel very comfortable every time I go to school, and I dun seem to like the food served in my canteen. Really constipated, what could be wrong? (very discriptive)?

For the past week i have had constipation, whenever needing to go to the toilet, only gas comes out. I have been really straining, i know that is bad.
